The MNYHOP Vision, Mission, and Future Goals
We are living in extraordinary times, both in the natural and in the spiritual. These are days of great unrest and urgency, and yet they are also days of great opportunity and blessing.
To this end, The Metro New York House of Prayer seeks to train, network, and mobilize intercessors - throughout the Body of Christ - to be that effective, unified End-Time Army - locally, regionally, and internationally.
The chief goals of the MNYHOP are:
- To provide a context that facilitates 24-hour intercession and worship via linked and unified Houses of Prayer; to model and raise up, and link together 24/7 houses across the NYC region. The MNYHOP does not seek to directly oversee these houses of prayer, but rather to directly oversee the network between them.
- To export this understanding and lifestyle to other believers via Training, Strategic Events, Internship program, and the Internet; to flood the Christian church with the realization of our primary call to prayer.
- The MNYHOP is not, nor does it seek to be, a local church - rather, it seeks to come alongside the Body of Christ, the primary expression of which is the local church, and strengthen its arm and knees in intercession.
The belief that prayer must be the lifestyle of the Disciples of Christ rather than an activity, is at the very core of the Metro New York House of Prayer. This is not a 21st Century discovery, but rather, a fact that has consistently manifested itself throughout the ages whenever people truly sought the presence of God, and sought to be a people of His presence.
