2009 Honduras Missions Adventure
We are expecting great things from the Lord as we prepare for our 17th summer of ministry in Honduras, July 26 to August 6, 2009! Our missions team members will be connecting with local ministries in the San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa areas, partnering with the Body of Christ to advance the Kingdom of God powerfully throughout the nation.
We invite you to join us and to bring a group from your church, youth group, or prayer team - to be a part of the inter-generational 2009 Honduras Team.
Come prepared for your heart to be completely impacted by the love of the people of Honduras; you will never be the same afterwards!

About Honduras
Honduras is one of the poorest nations in Latin America, and you will be exposed to poverty, perhaps in a stronger way than you have ever seen before. But God will use this exposure to release His compassion through your life, and you will be amazed at how God is able to use the little things that you do in Honduras to impact the lives of others. Honduras is also a very beautiful country, with a temperate climate and with the beautiful mountain vistas serving as a backdrop to the cities and towns. Trip Activities
As in previous years, we are making plans to stay in local housing that will be available through our relationships with the Honduran believers. We will be preparing and eating our meals together as a team, which will give us the chance to form strong relationships within our team and to be equipped for our times of ministry. This community among our team and with the Honduran believers will be a source of strength for us as we are in the country.
As part of our ministry experiences, we will have opportunities to participate in evangelistic outreaches in places like Central Parks, orphanages, and prisons. Your heart will be touched by the way that God will use you to bring encouragement and healing to others who are living in difficult situations. You will have the opportunity to meet Hondurans who are your own age, whom you will be able to encourage with the love of God. We are planning to be able to meet people from different churches as well, to provide for a rich experience as we partner with the believers throughout Honduras.
 We will have opportunities to minister to the children of Honduras - precious lives that do not have many material possessions, but who are rich in their hearts with much capacity to love others. You will quickly make lots of new Honduran friends among the children, just by being there and being part of the ministry team.
We will spend time in worship and prayer together as a team, both before the trip and each morning during the trip, which will increase our level of unity and our ability to hear the Lord’s heart as we make ourselves available to Him. One of our priorities as a team is to share a lifestyle of prayer and worship wherever we go, and you will find a number of opportunities to draw close to the Lord in this way, alongside your fellow team members. You will find your heart expanding to be able to receive more of the Lord.
We are anticipating that our team for 2009, like our teams from previous years, will represent a variety of ages and backgrounds, which will serve as a great opportunity for helping each other and encouraging each other. Come prepared to grow in new areas of creativity, as you draw from the strengths of the various team members. Also, come prepared to serve using the gifts that you have already developed in your life, which will be a great encouragement to the people of Honduras.
